Welcome to this week’s update.
I thought I’d give a shot of some of the poppers that I’ve been making. These went from the freezer into the fridge for about an hour. Then right onto the grill. I find that this makes it so much easier to avoid the cheese melting out of the peppers. When the bacon is done on the cut side, flip them over and cook until the bacon is done on the other side. Allow to cool for a while and enjoy. When I cook them on the gas grill, I tend to burn the toothpick a bit. So when possible, I cook them over charcoal.
We attended the Aberdeen Ironbirds game the other night. We have a good time at the games. It is a lot of fun to watch pretty good players who play because they love the game. This year is the first time we went to any games, but it won’t be the last. First time, my daughter’s gymnastics class performed. She enjoyed it enough that she asked to have her birthday there. Then just this week my daughter’s chorus sang the National Anthem. The Ironbirds made it to the play-offs. This is the first time since their inception, 12 years ago.
That’s really all I have this week. I really didn’t do much on the homestead.
